Derek Hill, Regional Supervisor at MCWL, brings 23 years of experience across both upstream and downstream sectors of the oil and gas industry. He began his career in refinery operations, achieving the position of Unit Operator during his seven-year tenure before transitioning into core analysis in 2000. In 2003, Derek moved into mudlogging, working extensively across the Rocky Mountain region including Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah, and later in Oklahoma and Texas. He has held the position of Operations Manager in the Rockies and now oversees MCWL’s logging operations across Texas and New Mexico, where he is responsible for leading teams, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring consistent data quality.
